Every 5/6★ Arcanist reaches 86.8% of its max HP, ATK and DEF at the top of Insight 2. Insight 3's 60 levels add the last 13.2 points.

A 5/6★ Arcanist in Reverse: 1999 has 86.8% of its maximum stats at the top of Insight 2. Insight 3 is the longest stage at 60 levels, yet it adds only the last 13.2 percentage points. The biggest jump in the whole climb comes one stage earlier.

One curve for the whole roster

All 101 Arcanists who go up to Insight 3 share one growth curve. Divide any of their HP, ATK, Reality DEF or Mental DEF at a given point by its maximum and you get the same share, within half a point. Their base stats differ, but the curve does not. So the table below holds for any 5/6★ Arcanist you pick. The worked column uses Rhiannon, whose 1,201 max ATK is the highest among them.

"Levels so far" counts every level across the stages. Each Insight resets the level counter, so the 180 levels of a full climb are made up of Insight 0's Lv.1 to 30 and then each later stage's own range. An Arcanist starts at 24.6% of its max stats at Lv.1. After that, the stages are not equal.

Insight 2 is the big one

The 50 levels of Insight 2 add 27.5 points, more than any other stage, at about 0.55 points per level. Across it an Arcanist goes from 59.3% of its final stats to 86.8%. Insight 1 climbs at almost the same 0.55 points per level, over 40 levels. Insight 2 adds more only because it is longer, so the two middle stages are where the levels pay the most.

Insight 3 is the longest stage and the thinnest: about 0.22 points per level, less than half the rate of the stage before it.

What Insight 3 is worth

For Rhiannon, Insight 3 is the step from 1,043 ATK to 1,201, a gain of 158. Every other Arcanist gains the same share of its own stats. That is still real stat growth, and your main damage dealers want it. As a rule for spending levels, though, it points one way. Bring your whole team to the top of Insight 2 before you take anyone into Insight 3. Every extra Arcanist you finish there gains more than the 13.2 points Insight 3 would give one of them.

Lower rarities finish early

The 32 Arcanists at 2/3/4★ stop at Insight 2, 120 levels in, and follow their own, shorter curve. They start higher, at 28.3% of their max. Because they are done at Insight 2, they are the cheapest Arcanists on the roster to finish.
