Seven Knights Idle Adventure: your Summon Level decides what a rate-up hero costs
A standard hero summon cannot give a Legendary below Summon Level 5. At the top level a featured hero is 0.075% a summon — about 704 summons on average, with the 1,000-summon guarantee as the ceiling.
In Seven Knights Idle Adventure, a standard hero summon cannot give a Legendary at all until your Summon Level reaches 5 — which takes 3,900 summons. Below that, the only way to get a featured Legendary off a rate-up banner is the guarantee at summon 1,000. Your Summon Level, not your luck, is the first thing that decides what a rate-up hero costs.
How Summon Level moves the odds
Summon Level rises with the number of summons you have made, and every level raises the Legendary rate a step. On a rate-up banner, the featured hero takes 50% of that Legendary rate. Here is what a rate-up run looks like at each level, with the 1,000-summon guarantee capping the cost:
The first 4 levels are flat zeros. Whatever you pull, a featured Legendary there costs the full 1,000 summons — 100,000 Rubies. From Level 5 the dice start to matter: the featured hero is 0.05% a summon, and 39% of runs land it before the guarantee.
Below Summon Level 5, a featured Legendary always costs the full 1,000 summons.
At the top level
At Summon Level 10, reached after 93,900 summons, the Legendary rate tops out at 0.150% and the featured hero at 0.075%. Even there the guarantee still decides a large share of runs: only 53% of players get the featured hero before summon 1,000; the rest are carried there by the guarantee, and the average cost is 704 summons, 70,400 Rubies.
So the honest way to budget a rate-up hero is simple: plan for 100,000 Rubies. At the best possible Summon Level you have a 53% chance of saving some of it; below Level 5 you have none. The 291 hero banners in the banner history that carry a guarantee all set it at summon 1,000.
Why the rate-up is still worth it
A rate-up hero can look expensive until you compare it with the permanent pool. At the top Summon Level the standard hero summon splits its Legendary rate across 151 Legendaries, so any one of them is about 0.001% a summon, with no guarantee at all. The featured hero on a rate-up is roughly 76 times likelier than that, and certain by summon 1,000. If there is one Legendary you want, wait for its rate-up; the rate-up units list shows every featured hero and its exact chance.
Premium Hero Summon
Premium Hero Summon runs on the same Summon Level ladder with far better Legendary odds. It opens Legendaries from Level 3 rather than 5, and at the top level reaches 1.05% — 7× the standard 0.150%. Like the standard summon, it gets better the higher your Summon Level.
Putting it together
- Know your Summon Level before a rate-up. Below Level 5, budget the full guarantee.
- Budget 100,000 Rubies for any hero you must have; treat anything you save as a bonus.
- Hold Premium Hero Summon tickets until your Summon Level is high; their Legendary rate climbs with it.
Every pool's rates at every level are on the summon rates page, and each unit's own chance in the permanent pools on summon pool odds.
