Star Resonance Wishes: an SSR costs 65 wishes, and the base rate barely matters

The flat SSR rate is 0.15%, one in 667. Counting the guarantee it is 1.5387%, one SSR every 65 wishes, so about 90% of your SSR odds come from the guarantee.

On 16 of Star Resonance's 18 Wish pools, an SSR costs 65 wishes on average, and never more than 80. The number on the tin, a 0.15% SSR rate, has little to do with that. At 0.15% alone you would wait 667 wishes per SSR. With the guarantee counted, the rate is 1.5387% per wish, so about 90% of your SSR odds come from the guarantee system, not the flat roll.

Every pool, side by side

The table groups pools with the same odds. 16 of the 18 Wish pools share one set of odds exactly, and all 16 of them take the Meowlux Wish Coin in either its regular or its Bound form. The coin changes nothing about the odds. Every pool shares the same 0.15% flat SSR rate.

The guarantee is the normal case

An average of 65 wishes against a ceiling of 80 leaves a gap of only 15 wishes. In a pity system built on a healthy flat rate, the guarantee is the unlucky tail. Here the flat rate is so low that it would give only 11% of players an SSR within 80 wishes on its own. The guarantee is doing most of the work. So budget in blocks of 80. A block that size is certain to hold an SSR, while 65 wishes is only the average.

At a flat 0.15% you would wait 667 wishes for an SSR. The guarantee brings it inside 80.

SRs follow the same pattern on a shorter clock. The flat SR rate is 1.85%, the overall rate 3.675%, and one is guaranteed every 30 wishes. A full block of 80 wishes on these pools brings about 2.9 SRs alongside its SSR.

The two pools that differ

Battle Will trades SSRs for SRs. Its overall SSR rate is lower at 1.3541%, about one every 73.8 wishes, though the SSR guarantee is still at wish 80. SRs come at 4.7501% and are guaranteed every 20 wishes. For SR prizes, it is the better pool.

Renewal Light is the slow one. Its SSR guarantee sits at wish 100 instead of 80, and its overall SSR rate is 1.332%, about one every 75.1 wishes. It has the most expensive SSR of any pool, so budget a full 100 wishes for it.

An SSR is a tier, not a specific prize. Each pool's SSR tier holds its own prizes at their own chances, and those are what decide whether an SSR is the one you wanted.
