Heaven Burns Red: how many pulls a featured SS style really costs
133 pulls on average, 39,900 Quartz, with no pity on the pull. Half of players have it by pull 93; one in ten is still waiting at 306.
A featured SS style in Heaven Burns Red costs 133 pulls on average, 39,900 Quartz. There is no pity counter on the pull to cap it. Every pull has the same 0.75% chance, so the average is a poor guide to what you will actually pay. 37% of players are still missing the style after those 133 pulls.
One rate, on every banner and every pull
Of the 180 rate-up banners on record, 179 give each featured SS style exactly 0.75% per pull. 177 of them put the whole SS tier at 3%. A pull costs 300 Quartz.
The 10-roll changes less than it seems. It costs 3,000 Quartz, the same as ten singles. Its guarantee is one S-or-above style, which only lifts the bottom of the roll. The SS rows on a 10-roll match the single pull exactly, so every one of the ten pulls still has a 0.75% chance at the featured style. Singles or 10-rolls, the odds below are the same.
What each level of certainty costs
The table gets steeper as it goes. The first half of your chance comes in 93 pulls. Getting to 306 pulls, or 91,800 Quartz, only raises that to nine in ten. With no pity, the pulls you have already made don't bring the next one any closer. A player 133 pulls in has exactly the same odds on the next pull as someone on their first.
A hundred pulls on one banner gives you about a 53% chance of its featured style. Plan your Quartz around that number, not around the average.
Two featured styles do not double your odds
116 of the 180 rate-up banners feature more than one style, and 97 of those have exactly two. Only 64 feature a single style. Each style keeps its own 0.75%. On a two-style banner, your chance of getting either one is 1.5% a pull. Your chance of the one you want is still 0.75%. If both styles are on your list, the banner is twice as generous. If only one is, it costs exactly what a single-style banner does.
The exchange is the only ceiling
The only hard stop on a featured style is outside the dice. 171 of the rate-up banners also trade their featured style for 150 Exchange Pts., and you earn those points by recruiting on that banner. None of the figures above count the exchange. If you are set on a style, treat the exchange as your backstop, and read the table as your chance of rolling it before you get there.
Every banner's dates, featured styles, per-style rate and exchange price are on the banner history. The full rarity split for singles and 10-rolls is on pull rates.
