Path to Nowhere

What taking a Path to Nowhere Sinner to Lv.90 costs — and where it goes

2,522,150 EXP for an S-Class, 1,679,900 for a B-Class — and 67% of it goes on the last 70-to-90 stretch.

Raising an S-Class Sinner from Lv.1 to Lv.90 takes 2,522,150 EXP and 1,081,850 Gold. An A-Class needs 2,099,950 EXP and a B-Class 1,679,900 — so an S-Class costs 1.5× the EXP of a B-Class for the same climb. What that EXP buys is far less evenly spread than the price tag suggests.

The Phase ladder

A Sinner's level is capped by their Phase: the caps are 20 / 40 / 70 / 90, and each Phase promotion costs materials and DisCoins on top of the levelling itself. For an S-Class, the climb breaks down like this:

<thead><tr><th>Band</th><th>Levels</th><th>EXP</th><th>Share of EXP</th><th>Gold</th><th>DisCoins to enter</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><th>Phase 0</th><td>Lv.1 → 20</td><td>50,200</td><td>2%</td><td>21,850</td><td>—</td></tr><tr><th>Phase 1</th><td>Lv.20 → 40</td><td>201,850</td><td>8%</td><td>107,100</td><td>36,000</td></tr><tr><th>Phase 2</th><td>Lv.40 → 70</td><td>575,500</td><td>23%</td><td>272,050</td><td>240,000</td></tr><tr><th>Phase 3</th><td>Lv.70 → 90</td><td>1,694,600</td><td>67%</td><td>680,850</td><td>1,120,000</td></tr></tbody>

About 67% of all the EXP goes on the last stretch, Lv.70 → 90.

The first three Phases together are the cheap part. Phase 3 is where the bill lives: the most EXP, the most Gold, and the most expensive promotion to get in. The A-Class and B-Class ladders have the same shape at a lower price, which is why the share in the table barely moves between ranks.

What each stretch buys

Here is the part the cost table does not tell you. Across all 146 Sinners, going from Lv.70 Phase 2 to Lv.90 Phase 3 — Phase bonus included — delivers only about 23% of the ATK a Sinner gains between Lv.1 and Lv.90. The last stretch costs about 67% of the EXP for about 23% of the growth.

That is not an argument against finishing your best Sinners. It is an argument about order: a roster of Sinners at Lv.70 Phase 2 is most of the way to its final stats for about 33% of the EXP, and the final stretch is best spent on the Sinners who actually carry your team.

Rank changes the bill more than the growth

Measured against their own Lv.1 stats, a Sinner at Lv.90 Phase 3 has grown by:

  • S-Class (66 Sinners): 3.75&times;, with a Phase 3 bonus of +44%.
  • A-Class (66): 3.62&times;, Phase 3 bonus +42%.
  • B-Class (14): 3.5&times;, Phase 3 bonus +40%.

The growth multipliers sit close together; the EXP bills do not. In ATK, the average S-Class goes from 146 at Lv.1 to 549, the average B-Class from 128 to 446 — a real gap, built partly on a higher start and partly on a slightly steeper curve. It is also the reason the bill scales with rank: 1.5&times; the EXP of a B-Class for an S-Class, 1.25&times; for an A-Class.

The Phase bonus itself is smaller than its percentage sounds. It is a percentage of the Sinner's Lv.1 stat, added as a flat amount, so by Lv.90 Phase 3 it makes up only about 12% of the final ATK. Phases matter mostly for the level cap they lift, and for the skills and Reverb slots they unlock.

The full bill

Levelling is only one line of the total. Taking a Sinner all the way — every Phase, all four skills to Lv.10 and the Exclusive Reverb to ★3 — costs 6,786,000 DisCoins for an S-Class, 5,632,000 for an A-Class and 4,125,600 for a B-Class, every Sinner of a rank paying the same. Of that, the three Phase promotions account for 1,396,000 on an S-Class.

Every level's exact EXP and Gold is on the level costs page, each Sinner's Phase costs and unlocks on phases, and the itemised bill to max on cost to max. The stat calculator shows exactly what any level and Phase is worth for the Sinner you are planning around.
