A rate-up 000 Identity in Limbus Company drops at 0.725% per Extraction. On the roll alone, before the banner's selective pity, that is 138 Extractions, 17,940 Lunacy, on average. Off rate-up, a particular 000 in the standard pool is one of 86 and averages 2,966 Extractions. The Dispenser sells any 000 it lists outright for 400 Egoshards. Which route is cheap depends on whether your Identity is on rate-up right now.

The four routes, side by side

<thead><tr><th>What you want</th><th>Odds</th><th>Average cost, roll alone</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>The rate-up 000 on its own banner</td><td>0.725% per Extraction</td><td>138 Extractions, 17,940 Lunacy</td></tr><tr><td>Any 000, standard banner</td><td>2.9% per Extraction</td><td>34.5 Extractions, 4,483 Lunacy</td></tr><tr><td>One particular 000, standard banner</td><td>0.034% per Extraction</td><td>2,966 Extractions, 385,580 Lunacy</td></tr><tr><td>Any listed 000, from the Dispenser</td><td>fixed price</td><td>400 Egoshards</td></tr></tbody>

Each Extraction costs 130 Lunacy, and a ×10 costs 1,300. The rows are averages from the roll alone; none of them count the selective pity below. Without a guarantee on the roll, the spread is wide. Half of players get a rate-up Identity within 96 Extractions (12,480 Lunacy), and a long tail runs well past the average.

While it is on rate-up

A banner's featured 000 Identities share a 1.45% group rate, about 0.725% each. Its featured E.G.O get a separate 0.65% between them, so an E.G.O on the same banner is a different chase with its own odds. The banner also carries a selective pity. Collect 200 pity points and you can exchange them for any featured Identity or E.G.O on it. Pity points are the backstop for a banner you are committed to. The rate is what decides whether you need them.

A standard ×10 promises less than it looks. Its 10th Extraction is guaranteed 00 or higher, not 000, and 000 comes up there at the usual 2.9%. Only the Special Ticket ×10 guarantees a 000 on its 10th Extraction.

After it leaves: the Dispenser

Off rate-up, one particular 000 in the standard pool averages 385,580 Lunacy. The Dispenser charges 400 Egoshards.

The standard pool spreads its 2.9% 000 rate across 86 Identities, 0.034% each. That is fine if any 000 will do, since one arrives every 34.5 Extractions on average. For a particular Identity it is hopeless. The Dispenser lists 124 Identities of 000 grade at a flat 400 Egoshards each, and 96 E.G.O of 000 grade at 400. 00 Identities cost 150.

What Egoshards are worth

A duplicate 000 Identity turns into 50 Egoshards, and a duplicate 00 into 15. One Dispenser 000 is the refund from 8 duplicate 000s. Egoshards also have a second job. Taking a 000 Identity to Uptie 4 costs 50 Egoshards on top of 150 Thread. One Dispenser Identity costs as much as 8 of those Upties.

Putting it together

Pull for an Identity while it is on rate-up, where Lunacy goes furthest, and let the selective pity catch you if the rolls run cold. Save Egoshards for the Identities you missed. After their banner, the Dispenser's fixed price beats a one-in-2,966 roll. The full rate split is on Extraction rates. Every guarantee and Dispenser price is on pity & guarantees, and duplicate refunds and Uptie costs are on Uptie & level costs.
