What one featured Dokkan Battle card really costs
0.5% a summon for the card you want: 200 summons on average, 139 for even odds, 460 to be nine-in-ten sure — and no pity counter to catch you.
On a Dokkan Festival or a Legendary Summon Carnival, the one featured card you are after comes up 0.5% of the time, every summon. That works out to 200 summons — 1,000 Dragon Stones — on average, and because Dokkan has no pity counter, nothing stops an unlucky run from going far past that.
Where the 0.5% comes from
A summon lands an SSR 10% of the time. 5% of summons — 50% of the SSR rate — go to the rate-up, split evenly across the 10 featured cards. The rest goes to the remainder of the SSR pool, which on these banners holds at least 328 cards, so any one off-banner SSR is about 0.016% a summon. A specific featured card is roughly 32 times likelier than a specific card outside the rate-up; that is what the rate-up buys, and it is still only 0.5%.
What that costs
A multi-summon is 10 summons for 50 Dragon Stones, 5 a summon. With every summon independent, the numbers are:
- One multi: a 4.9% chance at the card you want. Most multis will not have it.
- Even odds: 139 summons, 695 Dragon Stones — 14 multis.
- The average: 200 summons, 1,000 Dragon Stones.
- Nine-in-ten sure: 460 summons, 2,300 Dragon Stones — 46 multis.
Spend the average and 37% of players still walk away without the card.
That line is the one to remember. With no pity, the average is not a promise, and the gap between even odds (695 stones) and near-certainty (2,300) is 3.3 times the stones. Budget for the confidence you actually need, not for the mean.
Each multi also carries a guaranteed SSR. That guarantees an SSR, not a featured one and not the card you want, so the figures above ignore it and treat every summon at 0.5%. If the guaranteed slot lands a featured card it is a bonus; the numbers here are the floor you can count on.
Every banner, side by side
Two more things change the picture.

The wide rate-up. Global Campaign! Dokkan Festival spreads the same rate-up share across 47 cards, so any one of them is 0.11% a summon — about 940 summons on average. A long featured list sounds generous; for a player who wants one particular card it is the opposite.

Summon Point tickets. Every pull on a Summon Point ticket summon is a featured SSR, drawn from a list of 10–12 cards. That puts a specific card at up to 10% a pull, and 10–12 tickets on average — by far the most direct route to one card in the whole set. If you have the points, spend them on the card you are chasing before you spend another stone.
How to use this
- Decide how sure you need to be first. "I want a coin flip" is 695 stones; "I need it" is 2,300 or more.
- Count your featured list. The per-card chance is the rate-up share divided by the number of featured cards; a longer list is a lower chance for each card on it.
Use Summon Point tickets before stones. They are the only pulls here where every result is a featured card.
