Taking DIGIMON UP's Hologram Device from Lv.1 to Lv.30 costs 379,673,812 gold and 50.4 days of level-up timers. Most of that is spent at the very end, and the ending is uneven. Lv.29 doubles the gear you get per activation. Lv.30 costs 40% of the whole bill and adds about 11% more high-grade gear.

The ladder, level by level

Each level changes two things: how many items one activation produces, and the grade spread each of those items rolls on. The table lists every level where the item count goes up. The last column combines both effects into one number: how many items of grade UR or better one activation gives you on average.

<thead><tr><th>Device level</th><th>Items per activation</th><th>Total gold to reach</th><th>Total days of timers</th><th>UR or better per activation</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Lv.1</td><td>1</td><td>0</td><td>0</td><td>0</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.2</td><td>2</td><td>6,000</td><td>0</td><td>0</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.4</td><td>3</td><td>43,000</td><td>0</td><td>0</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.6</td><td>4</td><td>109,000</td><td>0.1</td><td>0</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.8</td><td>5</td><td>204,040</td><td>0.4</td><td>0</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.10</td><td>6</td><td>347,118</td><td>1</td><td>0.01</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.12</td><td>7</td><td>588,919</td><td>1.9</td><td>0.02</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.15</td><td>8</td><td>1,297,826</td><td>4.4</td><td>0.04</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.18</td><td>9</td><td>2,999,721</td><td>8.4</td><td>0.16</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.22</td><td>10</td><td>10,818,756</td><td>17.1</td><td>0.42</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.29</td><td>20</td><td>227,585,593</td><td>45.1</td><td>2.2</td></tr><tr><td>Lv.30</td><td>20</td><td>379,673,812</td><td>50.4</td><td>2.45</td></tr></tbody>

Levelling pays off because the device keeps adding items per activation while it shifts the odds upward. At Lv.7 UR gear can drop for the first time, but one activation averages almost none of it. By Lv.30 one activation averages 2.45 UR-or-better items.

Lv.29 is the upgrade that pays

Items per activation rise one at a time for most of the ladder. Then, at Lv.29, they jump from 10 to 20. The grade spread improves a little as well, so average UR-or-better gear per activation goes from 0.97 to 2.2, more than double. That level costs 89,463,658 gold. In total, reaching it takes 227,585,593 gold, 60% of the full ladder.

Lv.30 costs 152,088,219 gold and another 5.3 days of timer, for about 11% more UR-or-better gear per activation.

Lv.30 gives the same item count as Lv.29. All it changes is the spread, and only slightly. It is the last thing to buy, once your gold has nothing better to do.

When each top grade first appears

<thead><tr><th>Grade</th><th>First appears</th><th>Total gold to reach</th><th>Chance per item there</th><th>Chance per item at Lv.30</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>UR</td><td>Lv.7</td><td>152,200</td><td>0.05%</td><td>10%</td></tr><tr><td>GR</td><td>Lv.9</td><td>266,248</td><td>0.01%</td><td>1.8%</td></tr><tr><td>LR</td><td>Lv.13</td><td>766,590</td><td>0.01%</td><td>0.26%</td></tr><tr><td>LR+</td><td>Lv.20</td><td>5,570,363</td><td>0.015%</td><td>0.1%</td></tr><tr><td>EX</td><td>Lv.24</td><td>23,099,996</td><td>0.01%</td><td>0.04%</td></tr><tr><td>EX+</td><td>Lv.28</td><td>138,121,935</td><td>0.01%</td><td>0.03%</td></tr></tbody>

Every grade enters the pool at a tiny chance and grows slowly. Even at Lv.30 the most likely result for any single item is still SR, at 50.27%. EX+ first appears at Lv.28, and at the top level it rolls 0.03% per item, about one per 167 activations. Levelling the device mostly buys you more gear. It barely changes how often the rarest grades show up.

The Super Hologram Device is a separate table

The Super Hologram Device rolls on its own spread, not the normal one. At Lv.30 it produces 500 items per activation. Its most likely grade is GR (76.35%), and EX+ rolls at 1.65% per item. For the rarest grades, one Super activation is worth far more than a normal one. The normal device's level decides how much everyday gear you get.

Both devices' full spreads at every level are on Hologram Device odds. What each grade's gear actually gives is on the gear list, and the grade order is on grades.
