She often smiles gently, so long as her anger doesn't overwhelm her heart. As the descendant of ■■ and ■■, she possesses a truly wild disposition, but she keeps it just barely contained by keeping thoughts and feelings for her loved ones in mind, making her a quiet human woman. ...Or at least that's what she looks to be.

Height/Weight: 162cm, 50kg Origin: History Region: Japan Alignment: Neutral-Balanced Sub-Attribute: Earth Gender: Female She has enough strength to rip a human's head from their shoulders...with her bare hands. Tales are told of how she took the head of Onda-no-Hachirou-Moroshige, a warrior known for his great strength, and twisted it right off.

The dates of her birth and death are unknown. She is believed to be from the latter years of the Heian period or early Kamakura period. She was a concubine of the great commander Kiso-no-Yoshinaka (Minamoto-no-Yoshinaka), who gained the position of "Seii-Taishogun," but was defeated by Minamoto-no-Yoritomo. A heroic woman who demonstrated unyielding loyalty to Yoshinaka, and could boast many military achievements. She was versed in combat and was lauded as being a match for a thousand warriors. She is the daughter of Nakahara Kanetou, and the younger sister of Higuchi Kanemitsu and Imai Kanehira, who were a part of the Kiso Elite Four...and she was a milk sister to Yoshinaka.

According to "The Death of Kiso" in volume nine of the "Tale of the Heike," Kakuichi-bon version, she is described as follows: " had long black hair and a fair complexion, and her face was very lovely; moreover she was a fearless rider whom neither the fiercest horse nor the roughest ground could dismay and so dexterously did she handle sword and bow that she was a match for a thousand warriors and fit to meet either god or devil." A fair-skinned, long haired, and beautiful archer as strong as a thousand warriors...that is indeed Tomoe Gozen.

Knowledge of Combat: B A skill for large-scale battles where allies and enemies are pressed close together. This skill is not for commanding troops. Rather, it grants one the ability to fight bravely in such a frenetic conflict. Many against many, one against many...those are the battles to which Tomoe is accustomed. Lineage Excitation: A A type of self-hypnosis Tomoe used unconsciously during her lifetime. Upon her manifestation as a Servant, this has been defined as a skill that temporarily increases her oni strength.

『On Arorikya Sowaka』 Rank: B NP Type: Anti-Personnel Range: 1-12 Maximum Targets: 1 Shoukannon Bosatsu Mantra. Anti-personnel Noble Phantasm. Tomoe's grief at not dying alongside Yoshinaka, combined with her own inner fire and her monstrous oni strength, manifest in the form of a Noble Phantasm. Shoukannon Bosatsu is the Buddha enshrined at Gichuji Temple, where her beloved Kiso Yoshinaka is entombed. By chanting the mantra, she is able to verify her love for Yoshinaka. She then takes hold of her enemy and hurls them into the air before piercing their body with one of her flaming arrows. This deals damage using magical energy that mimics the sun, representing her feelings towards Yoshinaka.

Despite offering her entire heart to her lord Yoshinaka, she was unable to be with him at the end... That is the one regret this woman warrior carries in her heart. In Seven Duels of Swordmasters, her silent sorrow was transformed into burning anger by Ashiya Douman, which turned her into a savage monster of flames who incinerated all of Sagami Province. She is normally a delicate maiden who loves nature and detests altercations between humans. Tomoe Gozen's view of life and death is clear-cut: she believes she is a transient guest in the form of a Servant, and knows with certainty that she is destined to vanish from the face of the earth. Even when summoned to the Absolute Demonic Front of Babylonia, she did not hesitate to sacrifice herself in a desperate attack on the enemy's general, Girtablilu.
