Umamusume: Pretty Derby Race Planner

Which races each umamusume is built for — every race matched to her own surface and distance aptitudes

How this is computed

Two grades decide whether an umamusume belongs in a race: her surface grade (turf or dirt) and her distance category grade. A race is only as runnable as the worse of the two — an A-turf runner with a D in Long is a D at Kyoto's 3,200 m.

  • Fit = the lower of the two grades.
  • Distance bands are the game's own: Sprint to 1,400 m, Mile to 1,800 m, Medium to 2,400 m, Long beyond.
  • Grades run G to A on a card. S is training-only, so treat A as the starting ceiling.

Aptitude sets the ceiling, not the result — a B fit with 200 more speed regularly beats an A fit without it. Use this as the shortlist, then compare it on the stat table.
